Emirates Post Group discusses Cooperation with Universal Postal Union
HE Mohammed Sultan Al-Qadi has welcomed the delegation highlighting the importance of this meeting that strengthens relationships between member countries in various fields especially postal in order to exchange experiences and find best ways to improve postal sector. Both parties seeks ways of development and enhancements of postal cooperation within the context of incremental postal growth in the world and benefit from the global growth of e-commerce.
Al-Qadi thanked the vision of our wise leadership in creating a strong infrastructure in UAE and making it a unique transit point for international mail and shipping. He has expressed close cooperation with the organization for enhancing the readiness of the region to fully meet with the needs of e-commerce market and free movement of international postal services with highest efficiency and quality to full customer satisfaction. He added that Emirates Post Group supports the various activities and initiatives of Universal Postal Union.
United Arab Emirates joined Universal Postal Union on 30/03/1973 and was elected at UPU Postal Operations Council at Universal Postal Conference in October 2012. UAE was elected also as a Board Director of Universal Postal Union in 2016
