Oman- ITA, Oracle hold workshop on Public Platform of Engineered Systems
Held at Crowne Plaza Muscat, the workshop was attended by more than 150 participants from 100 government entities.
Addressing the gathering, Omar bin Salim al Shanfari, Deputy CEO for Operations, ITA said, 'The authority is committed to join hands with a number of pioneering and specialised companies in Information Communications Technologies to provide specialised training for IT government professionals to enhance their skills in handling IT infrastructure, software/applications and information security projects.Ikhlas Ibrahim Alabdawan, project manager, Government Licenses Agreement, ITA said, 'ITA with government entities are about to sign an agreement with Oracle to use its applications and services to help the government reduce its overall cost of the required IT infrastructure and achieve efficient return on investments.' The workshop saw six presentations showcasing Oracle products used in implementing IT infrastructure.
