Oman- Shifa al Jazeera Medical Group provides financial aid

Shifa al Jazeera Medical Group, the leading healthcare conglomerate in the GCC, has distributed financial assistance worth US$205,800 to the needy and other welfare schemes as part of its charity initiative.
At a function held in Muscat, Dr K T Rabeeullah, group chairman, said that this is part of a larger charity worth US$1,491,400 and till now over US$894,800 has been distributed in three phases. He added, 'Shifa al Jazeera will always be at the forefront of providing welfare of to the hapless section of the society.' Dr Rabeeullah said that in the third phase, financial aids were distributed for house construction, treatment and education assistance. He further added that US$67,000 has been distributed for house construction and completion of houses under 'Baithu Shifa', a social welfare programme initiated by the Shifa al Jazeera Group to provide housing for the poor. US$447,500 has been given to various educational institutions in Malappuram district and US$29,850 has been given to a research centre in Kozhikode district. US$3,000 has been given to the welfare fund for Muhammed Fazal of Tirur, initiated by KMCC Muscat; Fazal died in a fatal accident in Muscat recently. P K Basheer, Member of Kerala Legislative Assembly, received the amount from the chairman at a function held at Grand Hyatt Muscat Hotel. US$3,000 has been given for the renal treatment of a Thiruvanthapuram native, Muhammed Shareef. Shameer P T K, Rahim Vattallur, Rafeeque Ameen, Firos Ottappalam, Hussain C K Wayanad and Aslam Backer were also present.
