SEC urges licensees to implement new standards
Doha: The Supreme Education Council’s education authority has called licence holders and principals of Independent schools to implement the updated professional standards for teachers and school leaders starting the year 2015-16 as the authority carries on with a process of development and revision of educational policies.
The national standards include planning for the development of students’ performance improving theme as learners providing them with a safe supportive and challenging learning environment assessing their learning and using evaluation data to improve their performance showing high quality professional practices participation in constant professional development and maintaining an effective partnership with parents and the society. Reviewed professional standards for school leaders also include strategic leadership education leadership leading individuals and teams and the management of relationships.
