Saudi- Experts citizens hail busting of Daesh linked terror cells
(MENAFN- Arab News) RIYADH: The busting of Daesh-linked cells and arrest of 431 suspects in an operation extending over weeks by the Saudi security forces has won praise by officials experts and citizens.
The Interior Ministry announced on Saturday that a major terror plot was foiled as the terror cells had been formed to create bloodshed and sectarian violence across the Kingdom.
Commander of Border Guards in Tabuk Maj. Gen. Mohammed bin Sulaiman Al-Suqair said the pre-emptive action against the terrorists proves the efficiency and preparedness of the security organs
Similarly Director of Civil Defense in Tabuk Maj. Gen. Mastour Al-Harthi appreciated the performance level of the security organs in thwarting plans of the Daesh-linked cells to target the security of the country and citizens.
Director General of Prisons Maj. Gen. Ibrahim Al-Hamzi said the unlimited support of Crown Prince Prince Mohammed bin Naif to the security organs in the fight against terror through the best and most advanced means in this regard made the task of dismantling the terror cells easy.
Security expert Maj. Gen. (retired) Yahya Al-Zaidi said the big number of arrests show the masterminds of the cells wanted to exploit the young men under the pretext of jihad.
Likewise Maj. Gen. (retire) Mohammed Al-Qinawi said hailed the arrests and stressed on the role of families in protecting their children from deviant thoughts.
Maj. Gen. (retired) Assaf Al-Qurashi said the success of the security organs in busting the cells linked to the Daesh terrorist group comes to prove sincere allegiance and dedication of the security to their homeland against plots aimed at destabilizing security and undermining the stability of the country.
On his part Hamoud Al-Ziadi an expert on terrorism said the arrests have exposed Daesh's plot to only spread sectarian discord but also chaos by attacking security men.
Professor of Political Media at King Saud University Mutlaq Al-Mutairi said the war against terrorism is not limited to doctrinal differences or religious extremism but it comes to a political conflict with external forces managing to recruit youths to harm their country.
Meanwhile Shoura Council member Sadaqa Fadl said the Kingdom's success in fighting terror has become a model for other countries in the region exposed to terrorism.
A number of citizens also appreciated the efforts of the Saudi security personnel in thwarting a major terror plot against the country. Yasir Damas said the action against the terrorists is a strong message to those who want to play with the security of the country.
