Former mayor, son killed in armed attack SE Turkey
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Turkey's former mayor of Suruc Salih Tekinalp and his son Sinan Tekinalpwas were killed in an attack by unknown gunmen, Turkish police announced Sunday.
The gunmen opened fire on the former mayor's car, killing him and his son and forcing the car to crash into the side guard railway, the police stated to local media, adding that an investigation has been conducted for the incident as police are currently searching for the attackers.
Tekninalp, who was also senior member of the Dinay tribe in the region, was injured in another gun attack four months ago.
