Kuwait- Jail absconder nabbed

(MENAFN- Arab Times) A Kuwaiti man who had been sentenced in absentia to five years imprisonment for failing to pay KD 42,700 to a local bank and a mobile telecommunications company has been referred to the Criminal Investigation Department, reports Al-Anba daily. The daily added the suspect was arrested by a police patrol in Salmiya. According to security sources the man was under influence of alcohol or drugs and when he saw police he attempted to escape on foot. Police chased and arrested the man and handed him over to the Sentences Enforcement Department.
