Netanyahu holds security assessment at army's Gaza division

(MENAFN) Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has paid a visit to the military's Gaza Division Headquarters in the middle of an escalation between Israel and the besieged Palestinian enclave.

Netanyahu carried out a security evaluation at the headquarters, near the fence separating Israel and Gaza, the Prime Minister's Office stated.

The Israeli prime minister has hailed the military's attentiveness for escalation, affirming that the Israeli army is "ready for any scenario".

Netanyahu added that he is "very impressed by what I saw here, and I know that like me, every Israeli citizen believes in the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) and gives it their backing ahead of any possible development."
