Afghanistan: six militants die in air attacks

(MENAFN) Regional government spokesman, Sunatullah Timuri declared that six militants, with a key commander Mullah Karim Mukhlis, have died in air attacks at a Taliban hideout in Imam Sahib district of Afghanistan's northern Kunduz district.

Timuri added: "Acting upon intelligence report, the security forces aircrafts targeted a Taliban hideout in Kunjak area of Imam Sahib district early Wednesday, killing six rebels including notorious commander Mullah Karim Mukhlis on the spot,"

The official confirmed that the death of Mullah Karim Mukhlis, whose a key commander at the restive Kunduz, would discourage Taliban militants in the district to lose more grounds.

Taliban militants haven't stated any comment on the incident yet.
