BCCI recommends Khel Ratna for Kohli, Dronacharya award for Dravid

The BCCI has recommended Indian cricket team skipper Virat Kohli for the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award.
Besides Kohli, former Indian skipper and current U-19 coach Rahul Dravid has been recommended for the Guru Dronacharya award.
Meanwhile, legendary batsman Sunil Gavaskar's name has been put forward to the government for Dhyan Chand Lifetime Achievement award.

Kohli gets nominated for the second time
The master
Earlier in 2016, Kohli was nominated for the Khel Ratna by the BCCI.
But since the Rio Olympic Games were held that year, star athletes PV Sindhu, Sakshi Malik and Deepa Karmakar were conferred with the same.
Wrestler Sakshi and shuttler Sindhu had won bronze and silver medal respectively as Karmakar had finished fourth in gymnastics.
Therefore, the BCCI has nominated Kohli once again.

Supreme Court appointed Committee of Administrators (CoA) chief Vinod Rai confirmed that Dravid has been recommended for the Dronacharya award.
'The Wall' helped the India U-19 team win the World Cup earlier this year.
He has been guiding budding cricketers to reach their potential.
The BCCI stated that Rahul's stature made him the ultimate choice for the award.
