Minister highlights success in waste treatment at expo


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) HE the Minister of Municipality and Environment Mohammed bin Abdullah al-Rumaihi highlighted Qatar's achievements in the area of treating waste and water as well as the projects that have been implemented and the proposed ones, in addition to the opportunities for companies to invest in this area, in a panel discussion at the 50th Waste Treatment Exhibition (WasteExpo 2018), currently underway in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States.
The minister also learned about the latest technology and techniques related to waste treatment and disposal, and how to benefit from the different studies and experiences in this field and apply them in future projects in Qatar.
Qatar's participation in the event is significant as Doha is keen to develop the waste management sector and learn about the latest innovations in the field and how to implement them in the country.
More than 600 companies operating in the waste management field in the United States and across the world are taking part in the event.
