Pakistan- PTM members to announce date of next jirga with govt after two days


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) LANDIKOTAL: With the conclusion of first Jirga meeting of Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement and fata parliamentarians, announcement of the second Jirga will be made after two days.

In this regard, a committee will be formed in the second meeting to enhance the negotiations and continue the process between PTM and fata parliamentarians therefore a gap of two days has been given.

In these two days, these participants of PTM will hold discussions with other members of the movement.

Member of PTM, Mohsin Dawar, welcoming the jirga between government and PTM, said that he hopes peaceful talks will take place in the next session.

He also lamented that the Pashtuns are ill-treated in Punjab and Karachi therefore it is necessary to first work on respecting the Pashtuns and then hold negotiations.

Dawar also said that the PTM will have to assure that their schedule of other jalsas in Swat and Karachi are not disturbed.

Today in Shakas Khyber Agency at the residence of National Assembly member Alhaj Shah Jee, the Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement leader Manzoor Pashteen, Mohsin Dawar and other people of the movement met the fata parliamentarians.

Alhaj Shah Jee told media persons that the Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement has welcomed the talks.

He stated that in the next Jirga meeting, two elders from each tribal agency will be invited and all parliamentarians are also welcomed.

'The grievances of PTM are genuine', said Shah Jee, adding that all those genuine demands that come under the purview of constitution will be addressed.

The Corps Commander of Peshawar Nazir Butt on Tuesday gave a green signal to the PTM and announced to hold meeting with them.

Nazir had also said that most demands of PTM are real and they will be addressed accordingly.
