Paraguay to begin seventh general elections


(MENAFN) Paraguay is set to commence its seventh general elections on Sunday after the dictatorship of Alfredo Stroessner finally came to an end.

The conclusion of the election would bring to a closure a five-year term that was claimed by President Horacio Cartes from the conservative Colorado Party.

The country has selected 4,241,507 people as eligible voters who would have the right to cast their votes during the elections, with 2,163,150 of them males and 2,078,357 females.

The election was also confirmed to be having another 38,170 eligible voters coming from the US, Brazil, Spain and Argentina.
