US decision to move its embassy to Jerusalem null, damages peace process: Minister
(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Apr.19 (Petra) -- Minister of State for Media Affairs, and the government spokesman, Mohammad Al-Momani Thursday reiterated that the US decision to move the American embassy to Jerusalem is null, void and has no legal effect.
In a Radio station interview, Al-Momani said the US decision damages the peace process and serves only extremist forces, noting that the absence of a just solution to the Palestinian cause will cause frustration and despair and fuel extremism in the region.
On replacing US forces with Arab military forces in Syria, the minister added that states official positions are not based on information circulated in the media.
He underlined that Jordan's stance on the Syrian crisis is still the same, which calls for focusing on the political solution to the crisis based on UN resolutions.
