(MENAFN) Plastic straws and cotton buds will possibly be prohibited in England, in the government's proposal to prevent plastic waste.
Ministers declared a consultation over a probable ban, as .5bn plastic straws were annually tossed in the UK.
The prime minister confirmed that plastic waste was "one of the greatest environmental challenges facing the world".
Meanwhile,Theresa May will urge directors at Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting,to do the same in order to eliminate the issue.
