Saudi King announces donations for Palestine during 'Jerusalem' Arab Summit


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) DHAHRAN, Saudi Arabia, April 15 (KUNA) -- King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud announced Sunday that the 29th Arab Summit in the eastern city of Dhahran will be redubbed as the "Jerusalem" summit to showcase the vitality of the Palestinian cause.
Before allowing Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to deliver his speech to the summit, the Saudi Monarch gave some important announcements, revealing that Saudi Arabia had donated a sum of USD 150 million to the Awqaf and Islamic affairs department in Jerusalem.
Another donation of USD 50 million was made to support programs carried out by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA). (end) nsa.gta
