Afghan: 13 militants die in airstrikes
(MENAFN) A military source declared that an Afghan army helicopters hit militants' hideouts in northern province of Balkh,leaving over 13 Taliban militants dead,and another seven injured.
Spokesman of military Corps 209 Shaheen based in the district, Hanif Rezai confirmed that the air attacks were carried out by MD-530 helicopters in Baburzai and Asyyab Firqa areas of Chimtal province.
He added that the attacks followed confirmed secret information about active insurgents in the province.
No civilians were wounded in the mission,as a number of weapons and ammunition was devastated,according to Rezai.
