South Korean President pledges trade efforts with Vietnam

(MENAFN) South Korean President Moon Jae-in has pledge to invest efforts to boost trade relations with Vietnam as he pointed out bilateral ties to be successful when it's mutually productive.

Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang has also declared in a bilateral summit efforts for bilateral trade to reach more than USD100 billion by 2020.

During a South Korea-Vietnam business forum, President Moon stated "the goal of $100 billion in trade will account for more than half of $200 billion in trade with all member countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN)."

"That is how important Vietnam is to South Korea. And such a goal cannot be achieved by an increase in exports and imports of just one country," the South Korean president stressed before adding "we can realize the goal only when we realize mutually beneficial trade, become partners for co-existence where their businesses jointly explore third markets by combining their unique strengths."
