France:store attack leaves 3 dead,16 injured

(MENAFN) An armed man took hostages inside a supermarket after he stole a car, fired at police, shouting "Allahu Akbar",leaving three dead and injuring 16 others in southwestern France.

Gerard Collomb,Interior Minister declared that police broke through the store in the small town of Trebes, and shot the assailant dead.

Collomb added that the attacker,Redouane Lakdim, aged 25 from Carcassonne city, was identified as a petty criminal to the authorities, however not an Islamist threat,as its thought that the man was acting on his behalf.

Over 240 people have been murdered in France since three years,as attackers were either part of the Islamic State,or were inspired by the group.
