NECC Unveils Plan for Frozen Egg and Embryo Transfer
Clients' specimen safety is their primary concern. The NECC laboratory equipment, including liquidnitrogen tanks, are monitored 24 hours a day with an advanced alarm system that tracks all relevant performance data. They have implemented processes that safeguard the functioning of tanks and provide immediate notification if a device is out of range 24/7/365. NECC also maintains a potent backup generator that powers the entire facility. However, electricity is not necessary to feed the liquid nitrogen required for cryogenic storage. A power failure will not impact frozen specimens. All tanks are connected to a system that is gravity-based. Nitrogen flows from the 9,000 gallon bulk storage tank automatically, as required. Additionally, the facility's highlytrained laboratory staff monitors thestatus of each tank 7 days a week to ensure that all the equipment is functioning properly.
