Kuwait- CSC denies giving directives to cancel contract of expatriates

(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY, Feb 15: 'No directives have been issued to any governmental authority to end the services of expatriates who reach the age of 65', the Civil Service Commission (CSC) affirmed in a press statement issued on Thursday.

CSC issued the press statement in response to the reports published in a local newspaper and on social media which claimed that CSC had issued a directive to terminate the contracts of expatriate employees whose ages are 65 years or above.

CSC explained that terminating the service of an expatriate employee of any governmental authority after he/ she reaches the age of 65 does not require a decision from the governmental authorities but will be based on article No. 32 of decree No. 15/1979 concerning civil service.
