There was "no daylight" amid both allies concerning the matter, the Vice President confirmed while heading back to the US from the Olympics.
South Korea and North Korea have considerably improved their relations through the Winter Olympics, disregarding the nuclear programme issue.
Even so, the United States has decided to steer clear of North Korea's overtures.
