(MENAFN) The number of US citizens without health insurance has increased by 1.3 percentage points to 3.2m people last year.
The data shows the biggest single-year increase in the country since the coverage campaigne of the Affordable Care Act, or Obamacare which was signed into law by then US president Barack Obama in 2009.
People between 18-25 years were among the biggest declines, in addition to black and Hispanic people and individuals with an annual household income of less than 36,000 dollars.
President Trump has signed a major tax bill at the end of December, annulling the individual mandate under the Obamacare.
