Kuwait- Saudi firefighters quench plane fire


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) JEDDAH, Dec 23 (KUNA) -- Saudi freighters on Saturday could set out a fire of a Saudi airlines plane after landing at King Abdulaziz International Airport in the Red Sea city of Jeddah, according to local reports.

A wheel of the Saudi plane caught fire as soon as it returned from Kuwait, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) quoted firefighters as saying.

Firefighters and rescuers immediately rushed to the site and put the fire under control in record time, it said, adding that the passengers were safely evacuated, it added.

There were neither casualties nor traffic troubles at the Saudi airport, the SPA confirmed. (end) nsa.mt
