Qatar- Ministry calls companies to adjust their situation before January

Doha: The Ministry of Economy and Commerce has invited commercial companies, subject to the provisions of Law 11 of 2015 on the Commercial Companies and Law 25 of 2005, as amended by Law No. 20 of 2014 on Commercial Registration, in which the trade names of the branches are different from the company's trade name or have an activity different from the purposes specified in the founding document or the statutes, to contact the ministry to adjust their situation to comply with the laws before the expiration of the period of exempting from ending by January, 1st 2018.
The ministry said in a statement that the decision of pushing back the deadline for the adjustment of the situations of commercial companies comes in line with the strategic directions of the Government of the State of Qatar to facilitate the practice of business, and to increase the flexibility of the national economy and enable its competitiveness locally and abroad.
The statement said that through this decision, the Ministry is keen to provide all the means of assistance and flexibility to existing companies, which will lead to increasing confidence in the Qatari business environment and strengthening partnership with the private sector, in order to achieve Qatar National Vision 2030 with a diversified and sustainable competitive economy.
The Ministry of Economy and Commerce called on the commercial companies to promptly contact the Ministry's premises in Lusail, the second floor, tower (B), in order to adjust their situations.
