Sharjah Announces Eid Al Fitr Holidays For Public Sector Employees

The Sharjah Human Resources Department has announced the Eid Al Fitr holiday schedule for government employees in the emirate. The holiday will run from Thursday, March 19, to Sunday, March 22, with official working hours set to resume on Monday, March 23.

The announcement allows government employees and departments to plan ahead for the festive period, which marks the end of Ramadan, one of the most significant occasions in the Islamic calendar.

The UAE Federal Authority for Government Human Resources and the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation have also announced the Eid Al Fitr holiday dates for employees in federal government entities and the private sector.

In the UAE, the public sector workforce will get a four-day holiday from March 19 to March 22, while private sector employees will have a holiday from Thursday, March 19, until Saturday, March 21.

However, the authorities clarified that if the holy month of Ramadan lasts 30 days, the private sector holiday will be extended to Sunday, March 22, 2026.
