South Korea parliamentary chief set to visit Peru for bilateral cooperation talks


(MENAFN) It was confirmed by the office of National Assembly Speaker of South Korea Chung Sye-kyun that he is to embark on a visit to Peru Wednesday for bilateral cooperation talks with prominent officials and politicians.

For the purpose of seeking methods to reinforcing cooperation in trade, culture and other aspects, Chung is set to meet during his eight-day visit President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski as well as his Peruvian counterpart Luis Fernando Galarreta Velarde.

The trip which was prepared at the request of Peru's parliament is to give Chung an opportunity to ask for support over South Korean businesses operating in or looking to move forward into the South American market.

During his visit, Chung is to be escorted with other lawmakers including Liberty Korea Party Rep. Joo Ho-young, People's Party Rep. Son Kum-ju and Democratic Party Reps. Jun Hye-sook and Eoh Ki-kyu.
