Azneft production union of Azerbaijan's state oil company SOCAR has began to implement projects in a new format, Director General of Azneft Production Union Dashgin Isgandarov, said at a meeting dedicated to project management, Azneft said.
The meeting was attended by the leadership of Azneft, the heads of departments.
During the meeting, Isgandarov said that the work is being intensified for the compliance of the realized projects with international standards.
In this regard, Azneft continues to successfully cooperate with with the international company Independent Projects Analysis, engaged in the analysis of projects, he said.
"It is important to prepare projects in the form, which is recognized by the world's leading companies.The preparation of the project meeting international standards is a significant factor. Absheron and Karabakh fields will be developed in a new format using international assessments," he said.
Later, a presentation was held on a detailed analysis of the implementation of a particular project from start to finish.
At the end of the meeting, Isgandarov stated that henceforth all the projects of Azneft will be implemented in the presented format.
The "Karabakh" oil and gas field, opened in 2000, is located 130 kilometers east of Baku. The initial oil reserves of the field are estimated at 100 million tons. The operator of the field development is SOCAR.
