France: students injured after vehicle attack

(MENAFN) Not far from the south-western French city of Toulouse outside a college in the suburb of Blagnac, three students were wounded after a driver crashed into them, one of the Chinese injured is believed to be in a critical condition.

Police sources informed French media that the crash was premeditated and that the 28 years old offender was detained few minutes after the incident. The driver was charged with minor convictions more than a few times in the past, particularly related to drugs.

The incident appears to have nothing with terrorism, as Toulouse public prosecutor Pierre-Yves Couilleau confirmed after visiting the scene, he said of the offender "he... stated that his act was motivated by a desire to ram into people, which he had been preparing for, as he said, about one month."
