Pakistan- Four policemen suspended over torturing citizen in Nowshera

(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) NOWSHERA, 10 November: District Police Officer Nowshera has suspended four policemen over allegedly keeping a citizen in illegal confinement for six days and subjecting him to torture.
The suspended officials include Station House Officer (SHO) of Akora Khattak Police Station Muhammad Nasim, In-charge of Tariqabad police post, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Aman Sher and constable Wahab Khan.
A citizen Wasim from Jehangira while talking to media few days ago alleged that Akora Khattak Police Station officials kidnapped him without any crime, kept him in confinement for six days and subjected him to torture.
The DPO took action over the matter and suspended the policemen involved in the incident.
