
Qatar- Training programme for IT in education
The training and educational development centre of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in collaboration with the National Committee for Education, Culture and Science and the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) concluded a training programme on the use of information and communication technology in education.
The last session of the training program focused on the definition of e-learning, its types, features and systems, and how to create Internet classes.
The three-day programme included several activities such as learning about the most important concepts and new technological trends and their use in education, and the relevant ALECSO projects and how to benefit from them, as well as educational activity on the features of e-learning with practical exercises in this field.
On the other hand, the Department of Special Education in the Ministry of Education and Higher Education organised a training workshop on how to deal with students with autism disorder in integration schools. The workshop dealt with several topics, the presentation of a profile of students with autism disorder and their levels, how to deal with them, explain the characteristics they show in order to identify the mechanisms of work in the integration schools, how to operate the resource rooms, and recognise the roles of academic representatives and coordinators of materials support and material teachers, and the role of psychologists in school.
