Startup Oman is finalist for Arabian Business Awards

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Startup Oman (www.startupoman.om), the sultanate's only online platform created by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs, has been selected as a finalist in the Arabian Business Awards.
Arabian Business is a weekly business magazine published in Dubai and focusing on the Middle East. The Arabian Business Startup Awards wereintroduced in 2013 to celebrate the entrepreneurs thathave made an impact on the business landscape of theMiddle East.
From the Young Entrepreneur of the Yearthrough to the Start Up Company of the Year, the awardsseek to give the innovators who are building newbusinesses in the region a platform to have theirachievements recognised and rewarded in front of theirpeers at a lavish gala dinner and awards ceremony.
The finalists for the Arabian Business StartUp Awards 2017 have been unveiled. The awards recognise the region's outstanding entrepreneurs, investors, accelerators, mentors, SMEs, funding initiatives and start-ups at a gala dinner and awards ceremony on October 24 in Dubai.
Startup Oman is the only entrepreneurial programme nominated from Oman in it's category of 'Startup Programme of the Year'.
On this occasion, Ali Daud, founder of Startup Oman, said, We're proud to be recognised among the top entrepreneurial programmes of the region, and to be the only programme nominated from Oman. We are honoured to be recognised for the work we're doing and we hope that this adds momentum to entrepreneurship in the sultanate.'
The full shortlist was yielded from over 350 nominations that were assessed under the following categories: Entrepreneur of the Year, SME of the Year, Mentor of the Year, Incubator/Accelerator of the Year, New Media Start-up of the Year, Social Enterprise of the Year, Start-up of the Year, Young Entrepreneur of the Year, Intrapreneur of the Year, Investor of the Year, Funding Initiative of the Year, Start-up Programme of the Year and SME Leader of the Year.
The nominations are being scrutinised by a diverse panel of judges.
