Jordan- JBA president calls for closer economic ties with Switzerland

(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Sept. 17 (Petra)--President of Jordan Businessmen Association (JBA) Hamdi Tabba' stressed the importance of boosting economic ties between Jordan and Switzerland.
During a meeting with the Swiss Ambassador to Jordan Hans-Peter Lenz, Tabba highlighted the need to increase Swiss investments in the Kingdom in strategic sectors as well as the number of Swiss tourists visiting the Kingdom.
Trade exchange between Jordan and Switzerland stood at $308 million in 2016 including $3 million as Jordanian exports.
The ambassador voiced the embassy's readiness to organize a visit for Jordanian businessmen to Switzerland to look into the Swiss expertise in the fields of renewable energy, roads and bridges as well as hotels.
