Development of transportation infrastructure of Turkmenistan's regions is an important component of the country's large projects, the Turkmen Dovlet Habarlary state news service reported.
This developmental activity is aimed at involving the regions in economic, trade, and humanitarian cooperation, increasing investment potential, promoting entrepreneurship in rural areas, and industrial integration, according to the report.
Turkmen Dovlet Habarlary said the Central Asia is becoming one of the world's most important transport-transit hubs.
The region is to play an integrating role of a transport corridor along the North-South and East-West routes, which will connect Asia and Europe in a shortest way.
