Books Bring Bara Bazaar To Life At Three-Day Khyber Literary Festival
A vibrant atmosphere of knowledge and literature was witnessed in Bara Bazaar, District Khyber, as a grand three-day book fair was organized under the auspices of Khyber Union Pakistan and Khyber Students Union.
The primary objective of the event was to promote a culture of reading in the region, encourage the younger generation toward books, and foster a strong intellectual and academic environment.
The book fair featured various stalls displaying books on history, literature, politics, religion, philosophy, and contemporary issues.

The colorful and diverse collection of books attracted students, teachers, and members of the general public alike. A large number of citizens attended the fair and highly appreciated this positive intellectual activity.
During the event, educational discussions, intellectual sessions, and special youth guidance programs were also held.
Speakers emphasized the importance of raising awareness among young people, promoting critical thinking, and adopting constructive and positive attitudes.
Participants stated that such programs not only strengthen the habit of reading but also contribute to intellectual awakening within society.
On this occasion, President of Khyber Union Pakistan, Hashim Khan Afridi, said in his address that books are the foundation of awareness and progress.
He expressed his desire for every young person in District Khyber to strengthen their bond with books and the pen, stating that only an enlightened society can move forward on the path of development.
He further added that such fairs pave the way for intellectual transformation in the region.
General Secretary of Khyber Union Pakistan, Abdul Baqi Afridi, said that the organization aims to steer youth away from negative activities and guide them toward academic and literary pursuits.
He announced that following Bara, book fairs would also be organized in Jamrud and Landi Kotal so that more young people can become part of this intellectual journey.
President of Khyber Students Union, Akhtarullah Afridi, stated that education and reading are the guarantees of a bright future.
He pledged that such programs would continue in the future to transform District Khyber into a center of knowledge and awareness.
According to the organizers, this book fair was not merely an event but the beginning of an intellectual movement aimed at strengthening the culture of reading among the younger generation and promoting a tradition of knowledge in the area.
They reaffirmed their commitment to continuing such academic and literary programs so that the light of knowledge continues to spread throughout District Khyber.
