Oil imports between China, Kazakhstan reach 100 mln tonnes


(MENAFN) The pipeline operator revealed that oil imports from Kazakhstan to China via a land pipeline have hit 100-million-tonne.

Moreover, the general manager of the Central Asia Pipeline Company of China National Petroleum Corporation said "The safe operation of the pipeline has ensured diverse export channels for Kazakhstan, and also ensured stable energy supply to western regions of China."

Accordingly, the official also added the pipeline lands on 2,800 kilometers alongside the city of Atyrau and Atasu, in Kazakhstan, through the Alataw pass in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Area, to the PetroChina Dushanzi Petrochemical Company.

Never the less, the general manager stated that this Pipeline has begun his operation in 2006.
