Jordan- Autumn conditions forecast to continue Tuesday, rain over next two days

Amman, Oct.25 (Petra) -- Temperatures on Tuesday is forecast to remain around their annual average; therefore moderate autumn conditions will continue to prevail across the Kingdom with northeasterly to northwesterly moderate winds.

According to the Jordan Meteorological Department(JMD), weak unstable weather conditions are expected to start affecting the Kingdom on Wednesday, creating a chance for local showers of rain, mainly in the southern and eastern parts of the country. Winds will be southwesterly to northwesterly moderate to brisk, stirring dust in the Badia region.

The unstable weather conditions are forecast to further deepen on Thursday, bringing cloudy to partly cloudy skies and rain in the southern and eastern regions accompanied with thunder and lightening at times, the JMD added.

Scattered showers of rain are forecast Thursday night over the central and northern parts of the Kingdom, with southwesterly brisk winds, blowing dust in the Badia region.

Temperatures expected in the capital for today will range between a high of 26 degrees Celsius and a low of 16 , while mercury levels in the Gulf of Aqaba will hit 33 degrees plunging to 23 at night, the JMD said.
