Bank Sohar supports Injaz Oman Innovation C 2016 semester

In further demonstration of its commitment towards educational initiatives in the sultanate and developing employment opportunities for Omani youth Bank Sohar has extended its support to sponsor Injaz Oman Innovations Camp2016 Semester.
The camp consists of four sessions and is focused on training college students in creative thinking and basics of business start-ups. The sponsorship cheque was handed over to Shabib Mohammed al Mamari executive director of Injaz Oman by Mazin Mahmood al Raisi senior AGM of marketing and customer experience at Bank Sohar at Bank Sohar Qurm branch. Munira Abdulnabi Macki GM of HR and corporate support at Bank Sohar said 'Fostering entrepreneurial spirit and financial literacy among the country's youth remains a key priority area for the bank and we believe in being the key pillar of an educated and informed nation. 'Furthermore comprehensive educational initiatives such as this enhance the current educational system by incorporating entrepreneurial training in academic programmes. It helps the students learn real world business skills including leadership development financial management and business etiquette. Camps and training programmes such as this empower the youth to make well-informed decisions about their future.' The Injaz Oman Innovation camp will take place in the first academic semester of 2016; with a new session to be held every day. Four of these sessions will be sponsored by Bank Sohar and will witness up to 100 students from schools across the country participate in a day-long training camp that will incorporate various workshops and programmes covering key entrepreneurial and financial concepts. Thanking Bank Sohar for their support Mamari commented 'Injaz stems from the belief that inspiring the youth and equipping them with the right tools and knowledge can effectively set them up for success in the highly competitive nature of the global market environment. We endeavour to see the camp become a force for entrepreneurial development at a school level in the sultanate; serving to inspire the youth on the subject of entrepreneurship financial literacy and economics. We are proud to be working with organisations such as Bank Sohar whose contributions have already had a significant impact on the education of a large number of youth in our community.'
