(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The Western and Russian intervention in Syria will not end the war and will not eliminate presence of the so-called Islamic State in Iraq and Levant (ISIL), said an Arab League official Thursday.
Deputy Secretary General of the Arab League Ambassador Ahmad bin Hilli told the press that Arab, regional, and international efforts should unite to end the crisis in Syria, saying the political solution was the only way to end the war.
The Arab League will hold a meeting soon a meeting to discuss the diplomatic efforts to end the crisis in Syria, said official, adding that the meeting will also touch on the conflicts in Yemen and Libya.
