Saudi King meets Pakistan Premier

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud met visiting Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his accompanying delegation at Al-Ouja Palace here on Thursday.

At the onset of the reception, the Saudi King briefed the Pakistani Prime Minister on the contents of the palace of historical pictures and ancient heritage pieces, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

The reception was attended by Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Deputy Premier and Crown Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and several other senior Saudi officials.

The Pakistani premier arrived here earlier on Thursday on a day-long visit to Saudi Arabia.

The visit, which is the second by the Pakistani premier to Saudi Arabia in two months, came after the Saudi-led coalition against Houthi militias announced the end of the "Operation Decisive Storm" and the launch of the "Operation Restoration of Hope" in Yemen.

Pakistan had welcomed the announcement by the Saudi-led campaign to end the air campaign in Yemen.
