DFD funds international training for Higher Colleges of Technology students


(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM))  The Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, ADFD, has provided financial support for providing international practical training to students of Higher Colleges of Technology, HCT, and for their national volunteer projects.

The ADFD will fund two female Health Science students to train at the Sheikh Zayed Institute for Paediatric Surgical Innovation at the Children's National Medical Centre in Washington as part of the organisation's efforts to support the education sector and help develop future generations of qualified professionals.

Salem Saeedan Al Rashidi, Director of Support Services at the ADFD, said that the support is based on the fund's belief in the importance of advancing the education sector, and the big role it plays in the development of communities, and preparing new generations actively involved in the process of sustainable development.

HCT Abu Dhabi Colleges' Director, Sultan Hussain Karmostaji, commended the ADFD's initiative and the role it is playing in supporting the higher education sector in the country. On behalf of the HCT, Karmostaji expressed appreciation for partnerships with government institutions and bodies which are consistent in their efforts to strengthen higher education in the country and elevate it to an international level.
