(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Hran june 01 (qna) - the second conference of friends of syria opened in tehran sunday morning.
the conference is held at the level of heads of foreign policy committees of the member states parliaments. representatives of 25 world countries are participating in the event which aims at helping end clashes in syria and the establishment of peace security and tranquility.
iran's parliament speaker ali larijani and foreign minister mohammad javad zarif are among the top officials to address the opening session.
talking to reporters on saturday chairman of national security and foreign policy commission of majlis ala'eddin boroujerdi said the number of participant countries has been doubled since holding of the first meeting meaning many other countries have joined the peace process.
