Dr Blair Williams is an award-winning academic and is currently a Lecturer in Australian Politics in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at UNSW Canberra. Prior to this, she was a Lecturer in Australian Politics at Monash University (2022-6) and a Research Fellow at the Global Institute for Women's Leadership (GIWL) at the Australian National University (2020-2).

As a gender politics scholar, her most recently published research can be found in Men and Masculinities, the Australian Journal of Political Science, European Journal of Politics and Gender and Women's Studies in Communications, among others. Dr Williams' current research agenda focuses on the gendered media coverage of women in politics, gender and sexuality in Australian politics, political leadership masculinities and the politics of COVID-19.

Dr Williams is highly visible in the media, serving as a regular contributor to The Canberra Times and The Conversation, and as a Federal Political Correspondent for ABC North and West SA. She is also a frequent contributor to national and international radio, TV, newspapers and podcasts, including ABC's 7.30, Radio National, SBS, The Sydney Morning Herald, BBC, Al Jazeera and Le Monde. In 2021, she was awarded the ANU Vice Chancellor's Awards for Impact and Engagement.
