Qatari Security Forces Participate In Securing FIFA World Cup 2026
Doha, Qatar: Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force“Lekhwiya” – Chairman of the Security Committee H E Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani met with the Qatari security forces participating in securing the FIFA World Cup 2026, to be hosted by the United States of America, Canada, and Mexico.
He emphasized the importance of leveraging security expertise to support the success of the tournament in a manner that reflects the State of Qatar's advanced international standing in securing major events.
Minister of Interior in a post on the X said:“The Qatari security forces has begun its mission to participate in securing the FIFA World Cup 2026, as Qatar's security capabilities, thanks to the vision of His Highness the Amir, have become the subject of broad international recognition. There is no doubt that this force will present a model that further strengthens Qatar's leading position in securing major tournaments.”
