Donna Mazza

Donna Mazza's novel Fauna (Allen & Unwin, 2020), was a finalist for Aurealis Best Science Fiction novel, and The Albanian (Fremantle Press, 2007) won the TAG Hungerford Award. Her short fiction and poetry is in Westerly, Overland, New Australian Fiction, the little journal, Indian Quarterly, Southerly and Arena. Donna coordinates the Master of Creative Writing, winner of two Platinum LearnX Awards in 2024, and supervises writing PhDs at Edith Cowan University. She was recipient of Patricia Hackett Prize, Mick Dark Flagship Fellowship for Environmental Writing at Varuna Writers Centre and Tyrone Guthrie International Exchange to Ireland. Donna's latest work involved an immersive retreat in regional WA with ECU alumni, whose work produced a collection of stories, Follow the Salt (Night Parrot Press, 2025).
