Police have revealed that Bilal, who was arrested in the modelling and sex racket case, is the main person responsible for trafficking young women abroad. He reportedly met the co-accused, Sindhu, in Dubai. Investigations found that Sindhu arranged visas for the women on Bilal's instructions. Apparently, Bilal was known by many different names in Dubai. Police also said they found his phone full of pictures of young women. The sex racket gang even had Telegram groups to circulate photos of women from the modelling industry. Bilal will be produced in court today.

Who is Bilal?

The accused, Bilal, who is from Charumoodu in Thiruvananthapuram, was also known as Sreekumar. He was arrested in Mavelikkara. The gang lured young Malayali women with the promise of participating in a fashion show in Dubai, only to trap them in a sex racket. The victims were allegedly drugged and abused for months.

Police have also found proof that Sindhu sent pictures of the girls to clients and bargained over prices. The investigation team has collected screenshots of these chats. The remand report also states that Sindhu, the first accused, has connections with goonda gangs. The report adds that it was Sindhu who filmed the gang rape on her phone. The court has remanded her for 14 days. Sindhu was running an event management company in Dubai.
