APAS Show Hosts 21 Arab Food Companies
In a statement released by the ABCC, its vice president of international relations and secretary-general, Mohamad Orra Mourad, was quoted as saying the trade show is an opportunity for Arab producers to gain a foothold in the world's ninth-largest economy.“Participation in trade fairs is among the strategies most widely used by the ABCC to promote Arab companies in Brazil and Brazilian companies in Arab countries and is also essential to expanding trade exchange between the regions,” he said.
Exhibitors from Tunisia will include Huilerie El Allem, Sora Oil, Sotudex, Riviere D'Or, Ste Dorcas International Trade, Noury Dates, Saft, Fadhel International Trading, Fermes Ali Sfar, Afrimex Trading, Golden Export, Bulla Regia, Hammamet International Trading, Societe Agro Export Sahel (Sages), and Bizerta Agri Industry. All of them trade in olive oils and dates. Representing Egypt will be Fenti, Dalsa, Fregys, El Sheikh, and MAF Gateways, exporters of frozen fruits and vegetables. Saudi Arabia will be represented by Ghelal Albaraka, a company that markets pasta, coffee, and chocolates.
The APAS Show is organized by the São Paulo Supermarkets Association. In 2025, it welcomed more than 78,000 visitors to Expo Center Norte, which will also host the event this year. According to data from the organizers, last year's trade show featured 900 exhibitors, including 250 international companies from 22 countries, and generated BRL 16.5 billion [USD 3.2 billion] in business deals. The ABCC's booths, numbers 172 and 187, will be located in the Blue Pavilion. The APAS Show will run from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. More information about the trade show is available here.
Following the trade show, on May 22, Tunisian companies will hold a tasting and product presentation event at the headquarters of the ABCC in São Paulo. On the occasion, invited guests will be able to sample the products.
