Iran Executes Man Accused Of Spying For Israel

Iran's judiciary-linked Mizan news agency identified the man as Ehsan Afarashteh and said the execution was carried out Wednesday morning after he was convicted of cooperating with Israel's Mossad intelligence agency.

According to the report, Afarashteh allegedly received intelligence training in Nepal before providing information to Israel. Iranian authorities did not publicly release further details about the nature of the information or the timeline of the alleged espionage activities.

The execution comes as Iran has intensified security measures and arrests following the 40-day conflict involving Iran, Israel and the United States earlier this year. Iranian officials have repeatedly accused Israel and Western intelligence agencies of attempting to destabilize the country through covert operations and espionage networks.
