New Rotation Of Jordanian Field Hospital Arrives In Southern Gaza

Amman, May 12 (Petra) -- Medical and administrative staff for Jordan's Southern Gaza Field Hospital/10 arrived at their mission site on Monday to begin providing healthcare and relief services and help ease the humanitarian suffering in the Gaza Strip, continuing Jordan's humanitarian and medical efforts under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces.

Upon arrival, the teams immediately began taking the necessary measures to prepare clinics and medical facilities to receive patients in the coming days, intending to deliver healthcare services efficiently and professionally in line with the highest humanitarian and relief standards.

The hospital's medical and administrative staff include specialists in a wide range of fields, including general surgery, internal medicine, orthopedics, general medicine, anesthesia and intensive care, dermatology, vascular surgery, pediatric and neonatal surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, emergency medicine, maxillofacial surgery, and neurosurgery.

The facility also includes a mobile prosthetics support unit, enhancing its ability to handle a broad range of emergency and advanced medical cases.

The staff of Southern Gaza Field Hospital/9 returned to Jordan on Monday after completing their medical and humanitarian mission. They were received upon arrival by the commander of the 1st Royal Mechanized Guard Brigade.

During its deployment, Southern Gaza Field Hospital/9 treated 33,179 patients, performed 558 major and minor surgeries, and helped fit 208 upper and lower prosthetic limbs under the "Restoring Hope" initiative.\ //Petra// AF
