Tkiyet Um Ali Launches JD 2 Million Programme To Support Gaza Children's Recovery
Amman, May 12 (Petra) – Tkiyet Um Ali on Tuesday announced a JD 2 million humanitarian pledge to implement the "Gaza Children's Recovery" programme, targeting 3,000 children in the Gaza Strip along with their mothers and education staff.
The programme, carried out in partnership with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation and the Palestine Tomorrow Association, aims to address worsening humanitarian conditions, including disrupted education, food insecurity, malnutrition and psychological distress.
Over 12 months, the initiative would provide school meals, educational support, psychosocial services and learning materials and would establish 15 equipped educational units across the Gaza Strip.
It would support 660 mothers, 60 teachers and 12 specialised staff, while offering awareness sessions, training and recreational activities, alongside improved water, sanitation and solar-powered facilities to ensure continuity of services.
Tkiyet Um Ali stated that the programme builds on its broader humanitarian response efforts in Gaza and reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and accountability through monitoring and regular reporting on outcomes.
